About Joan

Joan E. Stein is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work with a private practice in Brighton, Michigan. She provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Masters of Social Work degree from The University of Michigan and her Masters of Interpersonal Communication degree from Eastern Michigan University. Both degrees were earned Summa Cum Laude.

In addition to her certification as an Advanced Clinician in Imago Relationship Therapy, Joan is a Certified Imago Workshop Presenter, a Level II EMDR practitioner, and EFT Practitioner, and provides Christian Counseling to those requesting it.

Joan is passionate about her work and commitment to helping couples build and enhance loving relationships. Her work with individuals, couples, and families is influenced by Imago Relationship Therapy, based on the work of Dr. Harville Hendrix, author of "Getting the Love You Want."

As a community service advocate, Joan provides free screenings, assessments, and referrals in conjunction with National Screening Days.
